About the Role

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs for Automated Fabrication Machines, including setup for operators, issuing job duties, and troubleshooting machines to meet company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up transfer line, VT19 and strip feeds
  • Troubleshooting and machine maintenance
  • Reading and understanding work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
  • Die maintenance and cleaning
  • Inspecting or testing damaged machine parts, and marking defective areas or advising supervisors of repair needs
  • Cleaning machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment
  • Starting machines and observing mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems
  • Recording production, repair, and machine maintenance information
  • Reassembling machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
  • Adhering to federal and state regulations
  • Adhering to all company policies, processes, and procedures
  • Performing other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Maintaining predictable and reliable attendance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Engineering or Electro Mechanical experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software
  • Experience with tool and die work for fabrication machines
  • Experience with machine operation and troubleshooting
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3) due to ITAR and/or CUI compliance
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check

Skills

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use a ruler, caliper, micrometer, and height gauge
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
