About the Role
As an Area Director for Cartier, you will lead a portfolio of boutiques, inspire leaders, elevate teams, strengthen client relationships, and shape the commercial future of the Maison. You will connect strategy with execution, bringing people, ideas, and innovation together to create exceptional results.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across multiple boutiques, creating an environment where commercial performance, operational excellence, and exceptional client experiences go hand in hand.
- Identify opportunities to grow market share, strengthen client relationships, and elevate clienteling and omnichannel experiences.
- Ensure every boutique reflects the standards, elegance, and spirit of Cartier.
- Coach and develop Boutique Directors, strengthen leadership capability, champion succession planning, and create opportunities for talent to grow.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Champion hospitality, service, clienteling, and omnichannel experiences that are unmistakably Cartier.
- Elevate the client experience by understanding clients, the market, and emerging trends.
- Shape regional strategy alongside Corporate and Regional Leadership.
- Serve as a trusted ambassador for the Maison.
- Build meaningful partnerships across boutiques, Regional Leadership, Corporate functions, and Richemont.
- Represent Cartier within the luxury community.
- Connect people, ideas, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration and create value beyond your own market.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within luxury retail or hospitality.
- Proven success leading multiple locations with P&L responsibility and delivering sustainable commercial growth.
- Demonstrated ability to coach leaders, build high-performing teams, and develop strong succession pipelines.
- Deep understanding of luxury retail, clienteling, omnichannel strategy, and operational excellence.
- Flexibility to travel and work retail hours, including weekends and client events, as business needs require.
