About the Role

The Business Development/Events Assistant supports overall business development efforts by managing marketing event logistics, assisting with pitches/RFPs, updating collateral, handling directory submissions, and other departmental projects. This role is crucial for ensuring effective and efficient data management and supporting various department-wide tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute all marketing events logistics.
  • Coordinate and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid events from planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Support event logistics, including venue research, catering coordination, transportation arrangements, and event materials preparation.
  • Manage attendee registration, RSVP tracking, guest communications, and event confirmations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, and suppliers for timely service and material delivery.
  • Prepare event timelines, checklists, and project trackers for successful execution.
  • Assist in creating and distributing event invitations, promotional materials, and attendee communications.
  • Support on-site event operations, including registration, setup, vendor management, and attendee assistance.
  • Write or work on pitches/RFPs.
  • Update collateral.
  • Ensure mailing lists, experience records, and other data projects are handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop audience segmentation and target strategies for email list building and optimization.
  • Provide proficiency in email reporting, user training and support, and support email policies and best practices.
  • Handle directory submissions and other departmental projects.
  • Assist with various department-wide tasks as assigned.
