About the Role

The Authorisations Division ensures firms and individuals seeking authorization understand regulatory compliance testing. The Register and Authorisations Services (R&AS) department builds confidence in decision-making, systems, processes, data, and platforms through integrated, high-quality services, operational rigor, insights, capability development, policy management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support work across the Capabilities and Controls team in governance, risk, controls, quality assurance, business improvement, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand operational issues, identify themes, and support practical improvements.
  • Ensure actions, risks, decisions, and dependencies are clearly owned, tracked, progressed, and followed through.
  • Utilize sound judgment to prioritize activities, identify issues needing attention, and escalate appropriately.
  • Support governance forums by preparing updates and papers, coordinating inputs, and ensuring follow-up on actions.
  • Assist the division's risk and controls approach by helping teams identify, assess, and manage operational risks proportionately.

Salary/Compensations

  • National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £53,800 to £62,733
  • London from £59,200 to £69,000 per annum
