About the Role
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and executing commodity sourcing strategies for local, regional, and national initiatives. This role involves managing supplier relationships and ensuring contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing strategies within assigned category, including analyzing spend, obtaining business requirements, identifying cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and creating a sourcing strategy.
- Execute sourcing strategies by identifying and leading cross-functional teams, developing and managing sourcing events (RFX's), performing business functions, and negotiating contracts.
- Manage supplier relationships by developing and tracking key performance indicators, facilitating strategic supplier meetings, and driving adherence to agreements, continuous improvement, innovation, and partnership.
- Partner with the operations team by providing management, detailed instruction, and follow-up for daily sourcing and supply chain activities, proactively managing internal and external customer expectations.
- Ensure contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio and across business lines.
- Support service lines in budget preparation and management.
- Identify and lead field resources to execute initiatives, manage supplier relationships related to administrative and operational activities and issues.
- Ensure contracting and procurement standards, policies, and procedures are maintained and followed throughout the portfolio.
- Partner with the client and Jones Lang LaSalle Facility Management team to drive immediate and sustained benefits.
- Assess and build annual sourcing initiatives with detailed service commodity strategies, objectives, leveraged spend initiatives, and milestone timelines.
- Provide strategic thought leadership to identify additional cost and operational efficiencies.
- Communicate, coordinate, and implement local and regional sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations with suppliers and the operations team.
- Proactively manage internal and external customer expectations.
- Conduct local and regional Preferred Supplier performance review meetings, manage supplier scorecards, contract compliance, and service obligations.
- Support e-commerce procurement initiatives, whether corporate or client-mandated.
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine the reasonability of price and contractor capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of strategic sourcing experience for services or indirect categories (e.g., facilities, highly desired).
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proven track record of leading decentralized teams, with an ability to influence across the organization and deliver results in evolving environments
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop strategic roadmaps and translate into executable plans and supply solutions
- Superior customer service, relationship building and follow up skills
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills

- 103,500.00 – 124,630.00 USD per year
