About the Role
Manage facility management services, operations, and repairs for 30-40 retail banking locations for a global financial services firm. Ensure efficient service delivery, budgetary control, and adherence to business plans while being accountable for the financial performance of the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day operations of retail facilities, including janitorial and life-safety services, consistent with company policies.
- Manage contracts, ensuring regular reviews and competitive bidding as needed, and verifying invoices match contract pricing.
- Supervise all maintenance programs for the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of properties.
- Provide prompt responses to occupant requests and implement programs to assess tenant needs and resolve problems according to contract scope and SLAs.
- Participate in the preparation of operating plans, budgets, financial reports, contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders.
- Assist in the development of capital budgets, including contributions to a five-year plan for maintenance, facility improvement, and cost reduction.
- Collect, analyze, and report statistical data to assess facility management objectives.
- Maintain thorough familiarity with the management contract and all its requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrate commercial acumen in improving business performance at strategic and practical levels.
- Experience with accounting systems, preferably Yardi, and internal/external audit functions.
- Experience as a department head, including business planning, budgeting, personnel management, and staff modeling.
- Experience managing business operations within a fixed cost environment and minimizing financial exposure.
- Experience in vendor contract administration, financial control, staff management, and property/facility management.
- Excellent understanding of operational cost control, vendor management, and quality assurance.
- Strong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Energetic, lateral thinker with an enquiring mind and a commercial approach.
- Experience in developing and implementing programs to drive out cost inefficiencies.
- High degree of personal drive and motivation.
- Good communicator (written and verbal) with high-quality report writing skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and stay abreast of developments.
- Committed to achieving assigned goals and targets.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain progress on multiple projects and processes.
- Regularly required to travel between floors and potentially between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Required to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
