About the Role
The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This role supports the mission of St. Peter's Health Care Services through high-quality housekeeping services and adherence to infection prevention standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean resident rooms, common areas, fixtures, and surfaces according to established housekeeping procedures and schedules.
- Follow infection prevention and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and other departments.
- Respond courteously and professionally to resident and staff requests.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or operational issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by department leadership.
Requirements
- Ability to perform housekeeping and environmental services duties effectively.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
