About the Role
CVS Health is seeking a strategic, data-driven Manager, Business Analysis, Workforce Initiatives, Data & Analytics to lead workforce intelligence and analytics initiatives that support enterprise workforce planning, talent pipeline development, program effectiveness, and business decision making. This role is responsible for transforming Workforce Initiatives data into actionable business intelligence that improves participant outcomes, strengthens talent pipelines, drives operational efficiency, and informs enterprise workforce strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of workforce analytics and business intelligence strategies.
- Translate complex workforce, operational, participant, and stakeholder data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Develop executive dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators.
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership through data storytelling, workforce trend analysis, and performance reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve participant outcomes, strengthen talent pipelines, increase hiring conversion rates, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Measure and report on Workforce Initiatives outcomes.
- Serve as the business owner for the Workforce Initiatives data ecosystem and enterprise workforce reporting environment.
- Lead enterprise data enhancement initiatives across Workday, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LearningHub, Sophia, and related workforce technologies.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards.
- Partner with Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations, and external vendors to improve integrations and streamline data flows.
- Develop scalable data architecture solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance accessibility, usability, and scalability of workforce data.
- Partner with technology teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize new platforms, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and maintain the Workforce Initiatives Data Vault to support longitudinal workforce analysis, trend forecasting, and predictive analytics.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify workforce risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
- Create models that evaluate workforce development program effectiveness, talent pipeline health, partner performance, hiring conversion rates, retention trends, and overall business impact.
- Develop forecasting models that support workforce demand planning, participant conversion projections, capacity planning, and program investment decisions.
- Support strategic workforce planning initiatives through predictive insights and scenario-based analysis.
- Integrate internal and external data sources to improve forecasting accuracy and decision-making capabilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting frameworks using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and other business intelligence tools.
- Create automated dashboards that provide real-time visibility into workforce initiatives, performance metrics, participant outcomes, and operational trends.
- Standardize reporting methodologies and performance measurement frameworks across programs.
- Monitor performance indicators and workforce outcomes while providing recommendations for operational improvements and strategic adjustments.
- Ensure reporting solutions meet business requirements while maintaining scalability, sustainability, and ease of use.
- Lead automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, eliminate redundant processes, and improve operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, AI-enabled tools, business intelligence solutions, and workflow automation capabilities.
- Develop exception reporting and monitoring capabilities that proactively identify data quality concerns and operational risks.
- Partner with stakeholders to redesign processes that reduce administrative burden and create measurable efficiencies.
- Foster a culture of innovation through continuous improvement methodologies, automation, and technology adoption.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Workforce Initiatives leadership and enterprise stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships across Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Operations, Finance, Information Technology, and external partners.
- Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation.
- Present findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to leadership and executive audiences.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development support to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Workforce Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Strategy, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise data initiatives, business intelligence projects, and reporting transformation efforts.
- Advanced experience utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or related visualization and reporting platforms.
- Strong SQL expertise, including data extraction, transformation, validation, and data management.
- Experience working with large datasets, data governance frameworks, and data quality programs.
- Proven ability to communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience translating business challenges into data-driven solutions and influencing decisions across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to present complex data and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive audiences.
- Experience leveraging analytics to support strategic business decisions, workforce planning, and operational improvements.
- Experience within workforce analytics, talent management, workforce development, healthcare, retail, or large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Workday, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), workforce planning technologies, and CRM platforms.
- Experience building predictive models, forecasting solutions, and advanced workforce analytics frameworks.
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, data architecture, master data management, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Experience with automation technologies such as Power Automate, Alteryx, Python, R, AI-enabled analytics solutions, or emerging workforce technology tools.
- Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PMP, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or related certifications preferred.
