About the Role

VRMNY is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused, and skilled Part-Time, 2 Days/Week General Ophthalmologist to join our team at our SoHo location. This position is ideal for a physician looking to build a strong patient base while serving one of New York City's most diverse communities. We are specifically seeking a provider to help meet the growing needs of our multilingual patient population. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmic care, collaborate with our retina specialists and clinical team, and deliver an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations for adult patients.
  • Diagnose and manage common ophthalmic conditions, including Dry Eye Disease, Diabetic Eye Disease, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Ocular Surface Disease, and routine and urgent ophthalmic conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients regarding their eye health.
  • Coordinate care with retina specialists, optometrists, primary care physicians, and referring providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  • Participate in practice growth initiatives and community outreach efforts.
  • Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology Residency Program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
  • Active New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing outstanding patient care

Salary/Compensations

  • $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
