About the Role
As a Market Manager, you will be the driving force behind providing a dynamic, memorable experience in the branch. You will coach your Branch Ambassador team to create amazing interactions, cultivating an inclusive culture centered on delivering an exceptional experience for every customer, every time. This leadership role focuses on investing in your team’s growth and elevating the guest experience without the pressure of traditional sales quotas.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate "Every Customer, Every Time" by coaching the team to measure success by the depth and quality of human connection.
- Handle complex customer escalations and engage with various partners to ensure a seamless, high-tier experience.
- Lead through active presence, creating a supportive, high-energy environment.
- Focus on how the team shows up for guests rather than traditional numeric quotas.
- Empower Ambassadors to think independently and take ownership, ensuring operations run smoothly.
- Coach the team to maintain a pristine environment and serve as an authentic advocate for Capital One’s values.
- Collaborate with business partners and internal teams to drive connection and care for the space.
- Manage an average of 1-3 branches with an owner’s mindset and a forward-thinking approach.
- Drive operational excellence, manage talent and resources effectively, and listen to customer feedback.
- Uncover insights to constantly iterate and elevate the space, ensuring customer-centric goals are met.
- Build a team with critical thinking skills to handle the unexpected.
- Coach and empower Branch Ambassadors to be strong, independent problem solvers.
- Guide customers through unique financial situations or smooth out operational wrinkles.
- Build problem-solving confidence while remaining the ultimate safety net for leader interventions.
- Coach the team on helping guests navigate mobile and online banking experiences.
- Leverage emerging technology like AI and GEMS to streamline processes, solve problems, and remove administrative burdens.
- Champion volunteerism and guide the team in connecting with local organizations, nonprofits, and charities.
- Facilitate team participation in approved community initiatives, aligning with Capital One’s programs and partnerships.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
- At least 2 years of Retail, Sales, or Banking Experience
- At least 1 year of People Management experience or 1 year of Supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years of Customer, Retail, or Financial Services experience
- 2+ years of People Management experience
