About the Role

Play an integral part in the planning, preparation, delivery, and setup of events ranging from small meetings to large-scale productions in premier UK venues and hotels.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to an event.
  • Ensure flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audio-visual equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
  • Comply with all company security and safety measures.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite.
  • Work as part of a team on larger scale projects.
  • Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication.
  • Meet with guests on site to ensure their needs are met and equipment setup is working properly.
  • Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
  • Understand and foster the hotel/venue/client relationship.
  • Demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve equipment and software issues.
  • Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
  • Use equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment for setup and strike.
  • Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
  • Increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
  • Work with clients to finalize invoices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within the Service and Hospitality industry would be preferable.
  • Previous experience in AV / Live events would be preferred.
  • Previous experience of audio visual experience, or equivalent in an educational environment would be beneficial.
