About the Role
As a Portfolio Banker within the Commercial Banking team, your role is to be the focal point of maintaining existing client relationships. You will introduce comprehensive solutions to clients, working both independently and as part of a team, to grow and retain profitable relationships within the Commercial Bank.
Responsibilities
- Manage, retain and deepen a portfolio of Commercial Banking business clients with annual revenue between $20 million - $100 million (Emerging Middle Market)
- Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
- Utilize knowledge of business, finance, payment solutions, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that best serve the client and ensure the profitability of the portfolio
- Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
- Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
- Protect the firm by following sound risk management protocols and control policies and adhering to regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of five years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
- Strategic and inquisitive mindset, knowledge of the bank and its offerings, and ability to gain support from partners to manage large client book

Salary/Compensations
- Base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set and location.
- Commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in the form of cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
