About the Role
Oversee the clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and interdisciplinary coordination. This role is for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for resident-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the clinical care and daily operations of an assigned nursing unit
- Supervise nursing staff, nursing assistants, rehabilitation aides, and unit support staff
- Conduct resident assessments and ensure care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately
- Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes with providers, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Review provider orders, laboratory results, incident reports, and quality indicators
- Participate in care plan meetings, family meetings, QAPI activities, and interdisciplinary rounds
- Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, outside appointments, and resident services
- Ensure accurate documentation, medication management, and regulatory compliance
- Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities
- Monitor infection control, immunization tracking, resident safety, and quality improvement initiatives
- Address resident, family, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a long-term care setting required
- 3-5 years of long-term care experience with supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of resident assessments, care planning, and long-term care regulations
- Leadership experience with the ability to supervise, coach, and mentor staff
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate care across multiple disciplines and manage competing priorities
- Experience with quality improvement, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance preferred

- $70,720 - $79,040 annually
