About the Role

The Technician Team Lead provides direction, leadership, and technical expertise to all other shop personnel. This position is primarily responsible for directing the work activities of other employees to meet production and quality goals established by management while maintaining their own Technician productivity levels.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains personal Technician productivity levels.
  • Ensure the team is motivated and trained.
  • Set goals based on individual skill levels.
  • Maintain a positive environment to promote employee morale.
  • Strive to grow the dealership and your career by setting monthly and annual goals for the Service Department with the General Manager and reporting on your progress.
  • Assist in effectively hiring personnel required to meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Manage, discipline and terminate personnel as required to meet departmental and organizational goals.
  • Effectively lead a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years' service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous Technician experience.
  • Three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASE Certification.
  • ASE Master Certification.
  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • May work in extreme heat or cold.
  • May encounter hazards.
