About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will investigate, identify, and resolve issues across the product lifecycle, from design to sustaining operations. This role requires technical expertise and critical thinking to ensure product quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Support global product management by developing and managing programs and reporting systems.
- Lead global engagement to enable shared process development and usage.
- Drive issue resolution through cross-functional collaboration and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain quality records, including inspection reports, test data, and non-conformance logs, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations.
- Assist with quality testing of battery energy storage containers, including functional, safety, wiring, and commissioning tests.
- Serve as the first point of contact for quality intake systems, reducing backlog by incorporating lessons learned and properly assigning/prioritizing tickets.
- Use data analytics to review Non-Conformance Requests (CAPAs, JIRAs, NCRs).
- Drive product development cycle decisions using quality-based business intelligence.
- Partner with Product Development and Engineering throughout Product Stage Gates to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- 1-3+ years of experience in quality, engineering, or operations within manufacturing and/or energy sectors.
- Proven success supporting customer-facing project teams and collaborating globally.
- Experience managing quality engineering non-conformities and driving alignment across regional organizations.
- Deep understanding of at least two of the following: Software & Controls, Batteries, Inverters, Transformers, Civil Structural, Electrical Systems.
- Strong background in developing and implementing proactive quality systems, risk management frameworks, and lifecycle improvement processes.
- Demonstrated success driving product readiness and launch scalability with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of data-driven decision making.
- Ability to lead through influence and foster collaboration across functions and cultures.
- Experience with supplier quality management, product lifecycle integration, and change control processes.
- Familiarity with quality assurance for product and design changes, including compliance, validation, and risk mitigation.
- 1-3+ years of experience in large-scale (100MWpeak +) renewable energy projects or related fields.
- Strong ability to interpret legal agreements and establish a position on behalf of the regional organization.
