About the Role

The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for making service calls to multi-family and light commercial properties for repair and maintenance, diagnosing issues, and performing on-site repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC air handlers, condensers, and package units.
• Input service notes into field service application.
• Collaborate with dispatch on parts ordering.
• Communicate with property management.
• Maintain stocked work vehicle.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of previous experience in HVAC.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• EPA certification.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs.
• Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
• Subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat for extended periods of time.

Skills

• Basic computer/tablet knowledge.
• Low and high voltage troubleshooting.
• Conventional HVAC system changeout knowledge.
• Compressor changeouts.
• Blower and condenser fan motor replacements.
• VRF and mini split training or experience.
• Diagnosing HVAC issues in multi-family apartment buildings.

Experience Level

• 7 years of previous experience in HVAC

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• EPA certification
