About the Role
Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) designs, develops, and manufactures advanced composite components. Our core strength is producing highly tailored, complex composite components using a unique blend of products including 3D woven structures, traditional and non-traditional 2D composite structures, and discrete through thickness reinforcement technologies. We meet performance and cost specifications beyond the reach of metallic or conventional laminated composites.
Responsibilities
- Promotes good relations with community, government agencies and customers.
- Manages production supervisors and Associate Managers.
- Sets objectives and standards of performance for all employees in his/her department.
- Is responsible for bids, monitoring and meeting production budgets.
- Initiates and follows through on performance reviews and counseling.
- Interface with manufacturing engineering, engineering, quality control, and other support groups to solve production problems.
- Meets all company, safety and environmental and good housekeeping guidelines.
- Initiates training plan for production managers and supervisors.
- Responsible for introduction and startup of new production and products.
- Develops capacity.
- Interprets and administers policies, processes and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work areas.
- Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Interacts frequently with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels.
- Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives.
- Interaction typically concerns resolution of operational and scheduling issues.
Requirements
- As a Department of Defense Contractor we are required to hire US Persons.
