About the Role
Tradition Home Health Care in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a passionate and dedicated Private Duty Travel Nurse to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while enjoying the flexibility and adventure of travel nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one private duty nursing care to patients in home and travel settings.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Monitor and document patient health status, vital signs, and progress.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and family members to ensure continuity of care.
- Travel with and accompany patients as needed, ensuring safety and comfort during transit.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and medical emergencies.
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license in good standing (multi-state licensure or compact license a plus).
- Previous private duty, home health, or travel nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to travel with patients locally, domestically, or internationally as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in varied environments.
