About the Role
Velaris – Skalar is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair advanced wet chemistry flow analyzers and automated robotic laboratory instrumentation. You will act as the technical face of Skalar, ensuring high customer satisfaction through expert technical support and system optimization.
Responsibilities
- On-site installation of analyzers and instrumentation
- Customer training on equipment operation
- Repair and troubleshooting of hardware
- Routine preventative maintenance and qualification services
- Managing parts inventory
- Timely submission of service reports
- Providing feedback to manufacturing divisions
- Collaborating with the sales force
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge for assigned products
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience with wet chemistry applications including BOD, COD, and flow analysis chemistries
- Experience with TOC analysis is a plus
- Hands-on experience with fluidics, wet chemistry methods, or automated liquid handling robotics
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with laboratory software
- Ability to travel extensively by plane and/or automobile
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
