About the Role

Interns at Samsara can tackle high-impact engineering challenges across our connected operations platform. Projects may involve building backend infrastructure for our IoT platform, scaling data systems, developing full-stack features for intuitive user experiences, strengthening the React Native app infrastructure, or working on embedded software for Samsara hardware, including edge AI and real-time data processing.

Responsibilities

Build backend infrastructure for the IoT platform.
Scale data ingestion and storage systems.
Develop full-stack features to create intuitive user experiences.
Strengthen the infrastructure behind the React Native app.
Build and maintain software that runs directly on Samsara hardware.
Engage in customer interviews and collaborate with success and product teams.
Use metrics to ensure work translates into real outcomes.

Requirements

Currently a junior-year student on track to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science between Spring/Summer/Fall 2028 or Winter 2029.
