About the Role

Provides primary health care to patients within a family practice model, supervises provider personnel, and teaches residents. Demonstrates compassion, commitment to excellence, professionalism, and a scholarly approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care to center patients within the structure of the family practice model.
• Serve on committees.
• Discharge administrative responsibilities.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Participate in night and weekend on-call coverage rotation.
• Assume teaching responsibilities as assigned.
• Provide professional supervision of Provider personnel, including professional interaction with provider support personnel.
• Teach residents how to care for patients.
• Improve the health of the individual and the population through the graduate medical education system.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited medical school.
• Current New York State license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current infection control certification.
• Current DEA Registration.
• Current certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
