About the Role

As a Warehouse Associate at Intersection, you will assist in maintaining responsibility for receiving incoming merchandise and preparing outgoing merchandise for delivery or shipping in the Long Island City Warehouse. You will load and unload merchandise using warehouse lift equipment, organize and store merchandise, and keep all storage areas clean and tidy. This role requires you to be highly motivated, reliable, and dedicated, with the ability to work well in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Comfort working in the elements year-round is necessary. Knowledge of Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assisting warehouse staff in retrieving specified merchandise from storage as per the delivery or shipping orders.
Preparing merchandise for delivery or shipping by packaging and labeling them accordingly.
Moving all outgoing merchandise to the delivery area.
Ensuring that all merchandise is properly secured in the delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transit.
Maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing merchandise.
Utilizing warehouse lift equipment to load and unload merchandise as well as move, lift, or stack merchandise as needed.

Requirements

Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
Ability to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend or crawl
Perform non-routine duties as assigned by a supervisor
Safely operation light to medium duty company trucks
Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a review of motor vehicle records, verification of social security number and passing a drug test at a certified testing facility.
