About the Role

As an Associate Programmatic Account Manager at Samba TV, you will own day-to-day account management for a portfolio of agency and brand-direct clients, ensuring they maximize the value from Samba’s audience targeting and measurement solutions. You will be the primary contact for clients throughout the campaign lifecycle and will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Measurement teams to drive adoption, performance, and growth. This role is ideal for an individual early in their programmatic career seeking direct responsibility for client relationships, campaign outcomes, and account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day account management for brand-direct and agency clients, serving as the primary contact for planning, audience setup, activation, QA, and reporting.
  • Lead client onboarding, platform training, and ongoing enablement to ensure clients fully leverage Samba TV’s audience and measurement solutions.
  • Manage audience segment setup and delivery across major DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, and social platforms, troubleshooting activation issues and coordinating with technical teams for prompt resolution.
  • Monitor campaign delivery, proactively identify risks and underdelivery, and produce performance summaries, insights, and business reviews to drive adoption and growth.
  • Partner with Sales on account plans, renewals, pre-sale planning, and upsell opportunities, aligning client goals with Samba’s audience and measurement solutions.
  • Act as the feedback conduit between clients and internal teams (Product, Measurement, Revenue Operations, Finance) to enhance activation ease, workflow efficiency, and audience performance.
  • Represent Samba’s audience products with subject-matter expertise and a consultative, client-first approach, staying informed on programmatic trends and contextual targeting best practices.

Skills

  • Programmatic advertising concepts (DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, digital campaign workflows)
  • Familiarity with DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, Yahoo DSP) and/or SSPs (e.g., OpenX, Magnite, Freewheel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Client engagement via email and calls
  • Analytical mindset
  • Interest in campaign performance and data-driven decision-making
  • Excel skills (SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • SQL (a plus)
  • Proficiency with CRM and project management tools (Salesforce, Jira, Asana, Trello, etc.)
  • Eagerness to deepen expertise in programmatic, audience, and contextual advertising
