About the Role

Helio Health is dedicated to treating and promoting recovery from substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide medical and counseling services as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team at the Elements Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and counseling services as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Provide client services for medical issues.
• Monitor and document clients’ medical status and signs/symptoms of withdrawal, reporting to supervisor or medical director.
• Collaborate with other medical staff for continuity of client medical care.
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding clients’ medical concerns.
• Provide direct medical services and interpret medical information for clients.
• Provide direct client care including medical assessment, implementation of medical orders, and communicable/infectious disease reporting.
• Implement public health and screening protocols.
• Document medical consultation, assessment, examination, and treatment planning, ensuring consistency with agency policy and requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed practical nurse currently registered by the New York State Education Department.
• Experience and/or training in the treatment of substance abuse and/or substance dependency is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.

• $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
