About the Role
Manage and support leave of absence, disability accommodation, workers' compensation, and return-to-work programs while ensuring compliance, consistency, employee support, and business continuity across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide guidance on employee leave programs, including FMLA, state leave programs, short-term disability, long-term disability, parental leave, occupational injury-related absences, and related processes from initiation through return to work.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support claim strategy, litigation management, settlements, and successful return-to-work outcomes.
- Lead the accommodation process by reviewing requests, facilitating interactive discussions, evaluating medical documentation, and partnering with stakeholders to identify reasonable accommodations and compliant solutions.
- Deliver training, consultation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, employee experience, injury management, accommodation practices, and leave administration programs.
Requirements
- Experience managing complex medical leaves, disability accommodations, return-to-work cases, and workers' compensation claims.
- Experience working with HR, Legal, Safety, EHS, Benefits, Finance, Occupational Health teams, insurers, third-party administrators, and external partners.
- Possess strong knowledge of leave administration, disability management, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, return-to-work processes, and applicable employment regulations.
- Build relationships and collaborate effectively across functions to support employees, manage risk, and achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive employee and medical information.

Experience Level

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Nursing, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Human Resources, Business, Risk Management, or a related field OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in a related field.
Salary/Compensations
- $76,600.00 - $100,500.00
- 11% target short term incentive
- $11,000 on average spent on benefits per employee
