About the Role
Nomura's Global Markets department seeks an experienced Vice President to join the Global Markets Trade Non-Personnel Expense (NPE) Management function. This role focuses on optimizing trade-related NPE spend through broker negotiations, desk reviews, and enhancing global trading operations infrastructure and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize trade NPE spend across global markets trading desks.
- Implement cost control measures and identify expense reduction opportunities.
- Identify and execute broker negotiations to ensure optimal terms and pricing.
- Support and maintain strategic vendor relationships.
- Support contract renewals and renegotiations.
- Conduct regular reviews of trading desk NPE utilization and efficiency.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with trading and Business Management to align NPE spend with business priorities.
- Develop and deliver reporting for senior management on trade NPE.
- Prepare regular reports on NPE trends, savings initiatives, and optimization outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong experience in financial services with exposure to trading operations.
- Understanding of trading operations, market structure, and associated costs.
- Prior experience in trade NPE management or similar cost management functions.
- Demonstrated track record in vendor negotiations and contract management.
- Experience with global markets trading across multiple asset classes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
- Proficiency in financial systems, databases, and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
