About the Role

Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology dedicated to alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life. This remote role supports the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Therapy group, providing surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory. The position may also involve basic market development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts on-site education and / or consulting
  • Supports field personnel in providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers
  • Participates in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness
  • Works closely with the DBS Sales and Clinical teams to provide customer case coverage and sales support
  • Serves as a technical resource to support sales of a specific medical product or solution
  • Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products
  • Proactively identifies needs and teaches a broader level of caregivers and account employees for new and existing accounts
  • Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel and office staff on technical matters relating to our products and therapies

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
  • Driving record will be reviewed and considered as part of the application
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Candidates must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment for roles below the Principal level

Skills

  • Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care
  • Servicing medical personnel on product use
  • Experience with a medical device company or pharmaceutical company
  • Clinical experience in a specialty area: neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, pain management, or home health care
  • Understands basic reimbursement and healthcare environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Experience Level

  • Minimum of 8 years of clinical or medical sales experience with a High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience with an Associate Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience with a Bachelor’s degree

  • Bachelor's degree in a health care related field (preferred)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • Registered nurse or HCP with experience in a sterile environment (preferred)

Salary/Compensations

  • $88,000.00 - $132,000.00
  • Eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)
