About the Role

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. This role also involves building and motivating high-performing teams to maximize property performance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
  • Assist the Property Manager with providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
  • Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion of company standards.
  • Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic.
  • Assist the team by maintaining and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission.
  • Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.
  • Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.
  • Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.
  • Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting to improve staff performance.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring all C&W policies and procedures are followed.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Property Management experience
  • 1+ years of Management experience

Skills

  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills
  • General office, bookkeeping and sales skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required

Salary/Compensations

  • $21.25 - $25.00 per hour
