About the Role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will contribute to a fast-paced, high-energy environment by collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You will ensure a quick and easy customer experience and maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the salesfloor stays 'runway ready' by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers with various transactions across different platforms, operating a point-of-sale system, and handling merchandise.
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and returning clothing to the floor.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
• Keep stockrooms organized, ensure merchandise is properly checked in, and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.

Requirements

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
