About the Role

This role is part of an interdisciplinary team, working under a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to gain experience for licensure and ASHA Clinical Fellowship.

Responsibilities

  • Completes evaluation and assessment of acquired conditions impacting communication.
  • Designs and implements treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
  • Provides rehabilitative services for communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
  • Prepares clinical reports and departmental paperwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate standard office machines and computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn computer programs for electronic medical records and charge capture/schedule systems.
  • Basic operating knowledge of standard diagnostic and rehabilitative procedures and related test equipment/materials used in Speech Pathology.
  • Ability to pass mandatory in-service and staff competency training, including FIM administration.
