About the Role
Baker Tilly is seeking candidates for Tax Associate and Audit Associate roles. These positions offer the opportunity to deliver tax advisory and compliance services or audit and assurance services to a diverse range of clients. The firm emphasizes career growth, flexibility, and strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tax advisory and compliance services to clients.
- Deliver audit and other assurance services to clients.
- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals, and corporations.
- Participate in tax research projects and assist with IRS responses.
- Team with leaders on special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation.
- Develop and present recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters.
- Engage with clients to gather information and perform testing.
- Perform substantive testing on client balance sheets and income statements.
- Test internal control deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or law, or a related business degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam.
- Outstanding academic performance with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Relevant internship, work experience, and/or involvement with a professional organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must be a current Summer 2026 Baker Tilly Intern.
