About the Role

Provides resident centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, psychosocial support and other personal cares.

Responsibilities

  • Assists residents in transferring, repositioning and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
  • Provides range of motion and passive exercise.
  • Completes tasks related to dining and food preparation.
  • Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
  • Provides a positive dining experience.
  • Provides the right medication to the right person at the right time in the right dose and by the right route ensuring all changes in medication are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Accurately documents outcomes related to resident cares, medications/treatments, behaviors, activities and dietary.
  • Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Follows consistent hand washing and Personal Protective Equipment use.
  • Provides assistance/documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
  • CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
  • A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.
  • Maintains all department specific required certifications.
  • When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
  • Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license.
  • Must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.

Salary/Compensations

  • $20.02 - $26.21 +$.50 premium added to every hour worked + $10,000 bonus (eligible employees)
