About the Role
The Night Guest Laundry Attendant (NGLA) is responsible for assisting guests overnight, including check-in and check-out, completing laundry responsibilities, answering phones, and ensuring safety and security procedures are in place.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
- Assists guests overnight, checking in and out, and collecting payment.
- Processes all laundry in compliance with company standards, including treating stains, washing, drying, and folding linens, terry, blankets, coverlets, and shower curtains.
- Processes all dishware in compliance with company standards, including washing, drying, and packaging.
- Stocks all housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry rooms with appropriate products to ensure PAR levels are maintained.
- Processes reservations, registrations, payments, and departures.
- Sets up and maintains the grab and go breakfast in accordance with brand standards.
- Conducts periodic daily tours of the property to inspect for cleanliness, collect trash, and address maintenance issues.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including reporting safety and security issues, cash handling, and key control.
- Assists with cleaning of hotel areas as assigned by management.
- Maintains overall hotel cleanliness.
- Performs other duties as requested by the management team.
Requirements
- Understand and communicate in English proficiently.
- Operate property management system technology, including shift reports and audit functions.
- Understand and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Complete routine reports and correspondence.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Apply good judgment at all times.
- Manage problems and address and solve guest-related issues.
- Regularly remain stationary; navigate the hotel; handle, reach, and detect objects, tools, and controls; detect scent and sounds.
- Frequently bend and position self to access low areas.
- Frequently lift and/or move laundry and dishes up to 25 pounds.
- On occasion push/pull carts weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally traverse heights and remain stabilized.
- Frequently work in outside weather conditions (depending on hotel).
- Occasionally work in wet humid conditions (non-weather related), near moving mechanical parts, in the presence of fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
- Work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels.
- May be asked to travel to help additional locations within a reasonable geography.
