About the Role
As an AI Controls Enablement Lead, you will lead a team of Controls professionals with deep technical AI expertise, translating AI capabilities into actionable business language and prototyping automated controls for scalable implementation across Asset & Wealth Management and beyond. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, influencing the deployment of AI-enabled solutions and fostering creative, sustainable solutions in a stimulating, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI tools with Citizen Developers and Technology to optimize control frameworks, identify risks earlier, and solve business problems, co-signing all tool submissions before deployment.
- Determine cost-effective AI and automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Python) to prototype and scale automated controls for business problems.
- Conduct scenario simulations and red-team exercises, establishing best practices and standards for AI tool review and deployment.
- Lead the AI Controls Council and produce the quarterly AI Controls Intelligence Report for senior leadership.
- Define measurable team outcomes, guide solution development, foster collaboration, and establish/share best practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in risk or control management within financial services, focusing on compliance and operational risk mitigation.
- Demonstrated understanding of AI models, including assumptions, limitations, and failure modes.
- Proven ability to translate complex, technical AI behavior into documented, escalatable, and actionable risk findings within a controls framework.
- Capability to implement robust controls to safeguard business operations and meet critical regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in process and data analysis to enhance control environments and interpret business needs and trends.
- Confident leadership and sound judgment to influence a strong culture of risk management.
- Strong internal stakeholder management skills, with effective communication and collaboration with senior Controls leadership and business stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), with the ability to develop compelling executive presentations.
