About the Role
The Retail Partnerships Manager is responsible for driving the strategy, performance, and growth of The Knot’s retail registry partnerships. This role manages a portfolio of priority retail partners and plays a critical role in shaping how retail brands participate in and succeed within The Knot’s registry ecosystem. This role will partner with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Legal, and Business Development. The role blends strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and hands-on execution, performance optimization, and cross-functional partnership in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Drives the performance and long-term health of a portfolio of retail registry partners.
- Leads conversations on how and where retail partners should be represented across the registry and site experience to maximize customer and business impact, in partnership with Product, Build, and Marketing.
- Drives partner prioritization and identifies opportunities to scale, evolve, or reset external partnerships.
- Leads new and existing partner conversations, including deal negotiation and contract structuring.
- Develops, evaluates, and evolves partnership models including CPA, commission, flat fee, and hybrid structures.
- Serves as the primary liaison between external retail partners and internal teams including Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Analytics, and CX.
- Aligns cross-functional teams on priorities, timelines, and execution plans to move initiatives from concept through delivery.
- Navigates ambiguity and competing priorities while maintaining momentum, accountability, and clarity.
- Prepares concise, executive-ready updates on partner performance, opportunities, and risks.
- Clearly articulates tradeoffs, recommendations, and points of view to senior leadership.
- Represents The Knot as a thoughtful, strategic partner in external-facing conversations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within a Buying, Wholesale, or Business Development Functions with a Brand or Retailer.
- Experience in sourcing, pitching, and closing strategic partners, and cultivating and managing ongoing partner relationships.
- Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and maximizing opportunities within a partner ecosystem.
- Ability to drive complex projects forward with a multitude of internal/external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence; experience influencing at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Deep fluency in business performance analytics and customer behavior; ability to clearly and concisely discuss performance and guide action.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and proactively identifying gaps or opportunities.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset and strong sense of accountability.
