About the Role
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for preventative maintenance and assisting in the repairs of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems to ensure the safety and dependability of the equipment and facility. This role requires basic technical knowledge with an eagerness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and facilities.
- Records maintenance and repairs within CMMS system.
- Assists in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintains appropriate inventory of maintenance spare parts and supplies.
- Maintains lock-out-tag-out and SDS information for maintenance department.
- Provides workplace safety and security.
- Assists in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and techniques for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment and facilities.
Requirements

- Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.
- Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; and loud sounds.
- Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; vibration; and high levels dust.
- Frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock.
- Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold (non-weather); extreme heat (non-weather); and work with explosives.
- Noise level is usually loud.
