About the Role

Bryant & Stratton College is seeking an Associate Professor to teach Math lecture courses at its Rochester campuses. The role involves providing instruction, participating in professional development, fulfilling administrative duties, and supporting campus-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide 15 to 21 instructional contact hours per week.
• Provide instruction with a focus on teaching and learning utilizing evidence-based best practices.
• Plan for and facilitate instruction consistent with the Community of Inquiry Framework and the Seven Principles for Good Practice.
• Assure appropriate course-level rigor in class instruction and assessment methodologies.
• Integrate and include instruction and assessment of each of the College’s four lifelong learning competencies in each course taught.
• Establish and maintain a classroom climate consistent with the College values, education promise, and personalized promise.
• Model professional practice and standards while in the classroom, lab and clinical site(s).
• Maintain one Skills Assistance contact hour per week for every four instructional hours assigned.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Maintain a current knowledge of teaching discipline/field of study.
• Participate in program, campus, market, and system faculty development opportunities.
• Document professional development and learning.
• Fulfill administrative duties.
• Meet requirements for creation, distribution, and retention and/or submission of beginning- and end-of-term paperwork.
• Maintain Administrative hours as determined by the Program Director and Dean.
• Adhere to, uphold, and comply with all established operational policies and procedures.
• Participate in curriculum monitoring and development process by providing feedback on curriculum.
• Attend required College functions including graduation and special activities.
• Participate in campus-wide initiatives in support of recruitment, retention, and graduation goal attainment.
• Participate in department committee meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Math or Math related field.
• Teaching experience with diverse adults, preferably within community college, career college or undergrad environments.
• Ability to meet deadlines and contribute to curriculum development.
• Professional experience in the science/healthcare/rehabilitation fields.
• Must be available for weekday classes.
