About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Placements Broker with 3-5 years' experience placing insurance risks for small businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to join a dynamic and client-focused team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working with Cyber Liability, Professional Liability (E&O), and Management Liability (D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary), and Commercial (GL, BOP, etc.) insurance products. This role involves developing tailored solutions for clients and working closely with underwriters to secure the most competitive and comprehensive coverage available.
Responsibilities
- Place all lines of business (Cyber, Professional Liability, Management Liability, GL, etc.) for clients
- Support Sales and Client Managers by analyzing client needs and exposures to develop placement strategies that align with their risk profile
- Draft and submit submissions to underwriters and negotiate terms and pricing on behalf of clients
- Review quotes, binders, and policies for accuracy and completeness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters
- Stay current on market trends, carrier appetite, and coverage developments within the relevant product lines
- Collaborate with sales executives and client service teams to ensure seamless handoff and servicing of accounts
- Provide guidance to clients on coverage options and risk management strategies
Requirements
- 1-3 years of insurance industry experience, preferably in a brokerage or underwriting environment
- Demonstrated experience placing or supporting the placement of Cyber Liability, Professional Liability, Management Liability, and P&C (GL, BOP, etc.) policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex coverage concepts clearly
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with insurance brokerage management systems and Google Suite
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license

- San Francisco & New York: $90,000 - $112,000 + 15% variable annual bonus
- Chicago: $84,000 - $100,000 + 15% variable annual bonus
