About the Role

The Patient Care Technician will prepare patients to be seen by a physician or provider, ensuring timely care and maintaining a clean environment. This role involves assisting with procedures, documenting patient information, and ordering necessary supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all patients are seen in an expedient and timely manner in the examination rooms in the outpatient facility.
  • Assist with the setting up and preparation of patient and equipment for procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the area, clean area after patient exams and procedures.
  • Check patient vitals and document all intake information.
  • Enter patient information in the Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Review patient chart, make sure necessary paper work is available for the physician and for the patients.
  • Collect urine samples.
  • Order supplies and equipment for patient procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Graduate from a Patient Care Technician or a Certified Nursing Assistant program or six (6) months of direct patience experience or completion of at least one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited Nursing/Medical/Health professions program which included both didactic and clinical rotations.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Physician office experience.
  • BLS certification.
  • Physical ability to move 50 lbs. or more.

Salary/Compensations

  • $17.52 - $21.90
