About the Role
Support the team in ensuring the shop delivers an amazing customer experience. Responsible for working alongside the Shop Manager to deliver excellent shop commercial, visual, and operational standards, and to support the development and training of the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example and coach the team to ensure excellent customer service in line with A.C.E pillars.
- Promote and compile customer information in line with data protection regulations.
- Introduce customers to and champion multichannel shopping through endless aisle orders.
- Maintain high visual standards instore.
- Support with floor moves, mannequin and window displays, and replenishment.
- Understand and promote product range features to the team and customers.
- Make commercial decisions and be proactive with stock, promotions, and opportunities to drive sales.
- Support the coordination of promotions, incentives, and key trading weeks.
- Communicate shop's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to the team.
- Lead team briefs in management absence to ensure the team is motivated to achieve targets.
- Organize and support the running of the shop through staff management processes.
- Use company resources to engage with customers and ensure compliance with daily/weekly actions.
- Assist management in creating a positive atmosphere focused on sales and customer experience.
- Support motivating and rewarding the team through praise and recognition.
- Champion Brand Values within the team.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure the day-to-day running of the shop.
- Identify priorities and plan accordingly to ensure productive time management.
- Seek opportunities to train and develop the team.
- Assist management with wellbeing initiatives and escalate people queries.
- Cascade People Team communications to the team.
- Process deliveries efficiently and ensure products are replenished on the shop floor.
- Assist in supervision of stock takes and audits for accurate reconciliation.
- Support compliance and transactional running of the shop, including paperwork and cashing up.
- Demonstrate good operational knowledge of in-store systems and processes.
- Show good understanding of policies and procedures.
- Escalate operational issues and risks to the relevant function.
- Understand Health & Safety and emergency procedures and lead these in management absence.
- Support visits from internal stakeholders with a professional approach.
- Hold responsibility for efficient and accurate ship from store and Click + Collect processes.
- Hold an awareness of the charity partner and support related events or promotions.
- Understand ethical sourcing and environmental impact to explain to customers and the team.
