About the Role
The Head Bartender will lead the day-to-day bar operations, inspire and develop the team, and ensure all drinks and guest experiences meet Sea Containers Restaurant's high standards. This role involves close collaboration with the restaurant management team to drive performance, maintain exceptional service, and enhance the beverage program.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing bar team.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences with confidence and personality.
- Maintain consistently high standards of cocktail preparation, presentation, and service.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory to minimise waste and maximise profitability.
- Create staff training programmes and support the development of junior bartenders.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the restaurant and kitchen teams to deliver seamless service.
- Contribute ideas for seasonal cocktails, menu development, and special events.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Head Bartender, Bar Manager, or Senior Bartender in a premium hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing others.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and premium beverages.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, hands-on approach with exceptional attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
