About the Role

The Junior Botanical Garden Custodian performs cleaning and maintenance tasks in small public buildings, ensuring safety requirements are met. This role involves a variety of upkeep duties within a botanical garden setting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of small public buildings.
• Perform office moves, setup and breakdowns of tents, chairs and tables.
• Sweeping, dusting, mopping, high speed buffing, and waxing.
• Carpet cleaning by bonnet, cold and hot water extraction.
• Power washing, gathering and disposing of refuse.
• Cleaning and removing snow from walkways.

Requirements

• 2 years of full-time experience in cleaning and maintaining buildings in a large cultural institution or education facility.
• Ability to move 25lbs and lift overhead.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
