About the Role

The Pharmacy Technician position, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department not requiring the professional judgment of the pharmacist.
  • Maintain patient records.
  • Set up, package, and label medication doses.
  • Perform designated tasks regarding processing of equipment and supply orders, and preparation of sterile products.
  • Package and ship medications.
  • Setup and optimization of delivery routes.
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical safety hazards and drug handling.
  • Notify Pharmacist staff of dispensing, storage, packaging, and/or related issues.
  • Proper rotation of stock, supplies, packaging materials, and shipping supplies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the registered and packaging space.
  • Must function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines with deviation approved by the supervising pharmacist.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or equivalent setting required.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Proven examples of displaying the Reliance values: Collaborative, Accessible, Results-Oriented, Empowering, and Supportive.

Skills

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
  • Experience working with online claims processing system preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for working with other health care professionals.

Experience Level

  • One (1) year of experience working in a high-volume pharmacy or equivalent setting required.

Education Level

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Salary/Compensations

  • $22.50 - $24.50 hourly
