About the Role
AGC Heat Transfer, a leading manufacturer of sanitary plate heat exchangers, seeks a skilled, customer-driven Field Maintenance Specialist based in Syracuse, NY. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands-on work, travel, and direct customer interaction, serving as the expert customers rely on.
Responsibilities
- Perform Plate Check™ and tubular heat exchanger inspections
- Execute repairs, troubleshooting, and installation supervision
- Conduct on-site customer training
- Travel >15 days/month (including some weekends)
- Maintain detailed plant folders, documentation, and follow-up communication
- Collaborate with AGC Sales Engineers on upcoming service needs
- Submit accurate service reports within 48 hours
- Mentor new technicians as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience as a traveling technician
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude and tool experience
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
