About the Role
This role involves the transportation of meals, meal carts, and equipment between DO & CO Facilities, vendors, and the airport, ensuring flights are catered correctly and handling airline equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Transport meals, meal carts, and equipment between DO & CO Facilities, third-party vendors, and the airport.
- Load/unload aircraft according to DO & CO and airline regulations, specifications, and equipment handling.
- Ensure flights are always catered for correctly.
- Cater to DO & CO’s client’s airlines and handle airlines equipment expeditiously and safely.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition, including fueling and pre/post checks, and report any vehicle irregularities to dispatch immediately.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations and all applicable rules/regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a 24-foot box truck.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process, including meeting TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Airbrake endorsement required.
- Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise; duties are performed outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
- Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring clear and understood communication.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
