About the Role
We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Driver Helper to join our growing New York Team!
Responsibilities
- Load flights into catering vehicles and assist drivers.
- Perform quality control activities for flights, including adding missing items, ice, and reporting missing carts, canisters, or bulk loaded items.
- Assist drivers with loading, off-loading, pick-up, and delivery of goods and materials.
- Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications, ensuring correct catering for flights.
- Maintain vehicles in full working condition, including fueling and pre/post checks, and report any vehicle irregularities to dispatch.
- Comply with all airport, airline, and other applicable rules/regulations.
- Comply with food, safety, and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems to management and the hygiene and food safety team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
- Proactive and self-organized.
- Able to manage through a substantial workload.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Able to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment, and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
- All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location, including meeting TSA and U.S. Customs requirements and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
