About the Role

The Technologist Assistant will provide assistance to Technologists, ensuring an on-time schedule and maintaining an orderly diagnostic imaging scanning area.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates company values in daily activities.
  • Greets and escorts patients to changing rooms and explains procedures.
  • Provides pre-exam screening and instructions.
  • Assists patients on and/or off the table as requested by the technologist.
  • Supports technologists during scans and contrast administration.
  • Manages post-scan patient hand-off.
  • Ensures an efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience.
  • Ensures smooth patient throughput across all modalities.
  • Monitors center modality schedules.
  • Adjusts patient schedules as necessary and informs technologists of changes.
  • Prepares room setups between patients, including coil management and sheet changes.
  • Helps technologists stay on time by preparing the next patient.
  • Provides front-end coverage as needed.
  • Attends trainings to stay updated on best practices and certifications.
  • Completes other assigned tasks and projects.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion.
  • Skill in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.

  • Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write, and key.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
