About the Role
Seeking an Emergency Room Consultation Psychiatrist to evaluate patients via telemedicine, determine appropriate treatment courses, arrange admissions or discharges, complete documentation, and collaborate with emergency room teams. This role also involves working with the Clinical Command Center to facilitate patient transfers and optimize patient flow within the health system.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' symptoms and treatment course
- Arrange admission or discharge when appropriate
- Complete appropriate documentation
- Work closely with members of the system emergency room teams, including physicians, social workers, and nursing staff
- Work closely with the Clinical Command Center to help facilitate transfers of psychiatric patients
- Optimize patient flow within the health system
