About the Role
Assess credit risk across deal flow by analyzing financials, applying credit policy, and collaborating with sales, operations, and credit teams to facilitate quick decisions on good deals and prevent bad ones. This role demands accuracy, commercial instinct, and speed.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite deals ranging from $25K – $1.5M
- Analyze financials, bank data, and open banking feeds to assess creditworthiness
- Apply credit risk policies accurately and flag sensible exceptions for review
- Support offer structuring that balances speed, risk, and commercial value
- Work closely with the sales team to support fast decisions and clean execution
- Escalate edge cases and complex scenarios to senior underwriters or credit leadership
- Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and CRM records
- Contribute insight and feedback to help refine credit policy over time
Requirements
- Highly organised
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with multiple moving parts

- Experience in unsecured, short-term SME underwriting is a plus
