Responsibilities
- File documents and mail in legal files.
- Open, date, and sort legal mail.
- Send initial and follow-up forms in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Set up new claims in a timely manner.
- Index and route mail, including document typing and setting task descriptions.
- Make inquiries to obtain additional information needed for job responsibilities.
- Complete and maintain mailing logs in a timely manner.
- Support the timely delivery of mail and files to claims professionals.
- Obtain and follow up for W9s, and keep, preserve, and organize returned W9s.
- Copy files.
- Perform Fee Schedule NF billing, including generation of EOBs.
- Maintain records and provide information for production reports.
- Assist in the check request and preparation process.
- Assist in the preparation of denials and delays.
- Assist in preparing files for IME or Peer Review for the vendor.
- Assist in identified initiatives or projects.
- Assist in the closing of files.
- Make telephone contacts with claimants and providers.
- Facilitate the generation of pay requests.
- Facilitate referrals for TOA investigations.
Requirements
- Basic but evolving knowledge of applicable No Fault claims and applicable regulations and litigation.
